Believe it or not, these bizarre names belong to real-life people!

I'm not going to even comment on what their parents must have been thinking when they named them...

    In a British newspaper (the Daily Mail) there was a whole page about bizarre names. These were taken from a book called 'Potty, Fartwell and Knob' by Russell Ash & published by Headline. Here are some names mentioned in the article, and they are all REAL names (believe it or not!):

    Anice Bottom (baptised Dewsbury, Yorkshire, 1837)

    Amorous Swain (Died Halifax, Yorkshire, 1843)

    Pleasant Titty (Baptised Margate, Kent, 1768)

    Batty Treasure (Born Midsomer Norton, Somerset, 1795)

    Basil Leaf (Born York 1895)

    Love A. Duck (Born Helmsley, Yorkshire, 1820)

    Elle Fant (Born Durham, 1861)

    I'd love to know what kind of life these people had. How on earth did they cope with their names? I know I'd change mine if it was even half as bizarre as these! How about you?
